The Travellers site in Star Lane is being used as an illegal dump.
The beautiful wooded area and surrounding roads are also now being aggressively fly tipped in as well as a result to the extent where the roads are blocked. This is not only an environmental crime it also can be extremely dangerous, stopping emergency services in tight lanes, creating lengthy detours. This could cause deaths of residents as well as huge inconvenience to hardworking locals, not to mention the huge costs from taxpayers money of clearing up the mess again and again.
The Orpington MP Jo Johnson is nowhere to be seen, Bromley Council appear to be powerless to do anything apart from beg the Travellers through the traveller liaison team to stop tipping at the Bromley Council owned site. They also appear to be cordoning off public land for their own uses. As you can see graffiti sprawled near the entrance of the site reads "NO POLICE" complete lack of respect.
The time has come for the site to be closed.
Please sign this petition as a sign of the will of all good hardworking people of Orpington and stop our Bromley taxpayers money being wasted for the sake of a site with just 22 plots. What other part of our society would this be tolerated in? There is only one option, close the site, once and for all.
There is no racism involved here, it is simply for the reasons stated above.
