You may be saving someone's pet, retired racehorse, therapy horse, etc. Some people even put adds into news papers claiming they will find them a good home and you walk off feeling good. Little did you know that some of those people end up selling them to the slaughter house. Not only are these innocent animals killed for no reason, but they are killed in the most un-imaginable death possible. They are beaten senseless and shot in the head with a needle. That doesn't even kill them, they are hung upside down and then their throats get slit. Still, they aren't dead yet, they struggle and trash while their blood is pouring out of their chests.
