Asiatic Wild Dog (Cuon alpinus) is an endangered species of Asian canid, and the only member of the genus Cuon. There are little over 2,000 individuals left in the wild. Once ranged across East and South Asia from Russia Far East to Sumatra. Now their range is severely fragmented and reduced.
This endangered species receives significantly little attention compared to its equally endangered relative the African Wild Dog, due to a lack of portraits of the species in popular media and documentary films.
