This Cop Kicked a Dog, Then Committed Domestic Violence. Why Hasn't He Been Fired Yet?

A police officer in South Bend, Indiana, has been charged with yet another act of violence. The first time, he was discovered abusing an animal - and now, there's evidence that he's committed domestic battery against his girlfriend.

This is not a man who should be wearing a badge or entrusted with the responsibility of protecting others. Sign the petition to demand he is finally fired!

This cop was recently found guilty of animal cruelty for brutally kicking a dog and throwing it from his truck back in October 2023.

This incident occurred when he was visiting an ex-partner to pick up his young daughter. That same day, the girl's mother said she observed him "roughly handling [their] daughter" when carrying her outside to put her in his trick. In fact, he was so rough, that the little girl ended up crying out repeatedly, leaving witnesses worried about whether or not he was abducting her.

Now, a year later, witnesses saw the man and his current girlfriend engage in a heated argument at a bar. Afterwards, he apparently followed her home, where he began behaving in a "rough and aggressive manner." At that point, he grabbed his girlfriend hard enough to leave visible marks on her body and flung her to the ground.

Violence against animals and violence against humans are inextricably linked. Studies show that individuals who commit animal abuse are far more likely to engage in domestic violence and other forms of harm.

Despite this clear pattern of violent behavior, evidenced by his convictions and the ongoing allegations, this man remains an officer with the South Bend Police Department, only being temporarily relieved of duty while investigations are conducted.

What will it take for authorities to prioritize public safety over protecting this officer? Sign the petition today to demand that the South Bend Police Department immediately fire this dangerous man.
