The Wild Burro Rescue and Preservation Project (WBRPP) is located in California and is a place of refuge for many wild and senior equines and burros that may otherwise not have a place to exist for the rest of their natural lives.
Many of the burros and horses taken in by the WBRPP have little fate elsewhere, since they are not allowed to be returned to the wilderness and often are of senior age. In fact, the majority of these animals are between 35 and 40 years of age. The WBRPP is a type of sanctuary that takes in the animals in need of love and care for the rest of their natural lives. However, this facility gets no government funding, all staff are volunteers without pay but running it is costly but crucial for the lives of many needy burros and horses. It is important that these animal’s senior years are as fulfilling as possible but without some type of funding, they will no longer will continue to live a healthy, happy life.
We are hoping with your help that the California government can get involved in order to generate some funding for this very crucial and important organization. Without it, these animals will no longer have a place of security and safety to live and thrive. You can help to keep the WBRPP up and running by encouraging the government to help through signing and sharing this petition.
