Telecabine de Montreal - Montreal Aerial Gondola


Actuellement, la Société du Vieux-Port de Montréal (gouvernement fédéral) portent entrave à la concrétisation du projet Télécabine de Montréal :

  • Madame Claude Benoit, présidente et chef de la direction
  • Monsieur Bernard Roy, président du conseil

Afin que le projet puisse aller de l'avant, Skylink doit d'abord finaliser avec la Société du Vieux-Port de Montréal (gouvernement fédéral) une entente visant la petite parcelle de terrain nécessaire au projet.

Nous avons besoin de votre appui pour nous aider à réaliser ce projet de 100 millions de dollars qui profitera à tous les Montréalais et à tous les touristes qui visitent notre ville extraordinaire, et ce, sans l'aide de fonds publics.

Currently, the Montreal Aerial Gondola is being blocked by the Old Port of Montreal Corporation (Federal Government):

  • Mr. Bernard Roy, Chairman of the Board

In order for the project to proceed, Skylink needs to finalize a land agreement with the Old Port of Montreal Corporation (Federal Government) for the small area of land required.

We are asking for your support to help make this $100 million project a reality for the benefit of all Montrealers and visitors to our great city - with no public money.

Télécabine de Montréal fournira également un lien crucial entre deux grandes destinations touristiques, et ce, de façon écologique.

Les organismes suivants ont fourni, à Télécabine de Montréal, un appui considérable :

  • Parc Jean-Drapeau (Ville de Montréal)
  • Tourisme Montréal
  • Société du Havre de Montréal
  • Société de développement commercial du Vieux-Montréal

Vous êtes en position d'autorité par rapport à la Société du Vieux-Port de Montréal. Je vous demande donc d'intercéder pour que Skylink puisse finaliser, d'ici la fin janvier 2009, l'entente visant la petite parcelle de terrain dont elle a besoin. Ainsi, Skylink pourra concrétiser, pour notre ville, d'ici la fin mai 2010, ce projet de 100 millions de dollars, sans l'aide de fonds publics.

I have just visited the Montreal Aerial Gondola website. What an exciting project for Montreal!

As a concerned citizen I am writing to ask you to help make the Montreal Aerial Gondola a reality.

The Montreal Aerial Gondola will be a new world class landmark attraction for Montreal that will have a greater economic impact than the Grand Prix and the Jazz Festival combined. The Montreal Aerial Gondola will also provide a vital link between two major tourist destinations, all in an environmentally friendly way.

The Montreal Aerial Gondola has received strong support from the following organizations:

  • Parc Jean-Drapeau (Ville de Montréal)
  • Tourisme Montréal
  • Société du Havre de Montréal
  • Société de Développement Commercial du Vieux-Montréal

Since you are in a position of authority in regards to the Old Port of Montreal Corporation, I am asking that you intercede to allow Skylink to obtain the land agreement that they require by the end of January 2009 so they can make this $100 million project a reality for our city by May 2010, especially when no public funds have been requested.
