Demand an End to Strip Mining and Mountaintop Removal, Now!

Did you know that 470 of the world's oldest mountains-- the Appalachians-- have been destroyed due to strip mining? That's right, our beautiful mountains of America are being attacked by this horrible form of mining. We are a very concerned group of high school student activists who live close to the encroaching destruction. We are worried about the quality of our drinking water, toxic pools of sludge, as well as the endangerment of wildlife that live only in this area.
