Birchgrove Road Glais has for a long time experienced issues with speeding vehicles. There have been fatalities and accidents and residents feel it's time some speed control measures were put in place such as speed bumps / roundabout/ speed cameras. The road contains access to a primary school, a nursing home, pedestrian lights, public houses and residential properties with high population density. Traffic calming bollards have just been put in place and knocked over within a week. This has had no effect on vehicle speeds. This petition requests the council and local police to monitor traffic behaviours and put in place a traffic calming plan to reduce speed adequately. This issue is being identified officially to the council who now have a duty of care to act upon the request
