Australia is still trading and catching at-risk Yellowfin Tuna - using destructive fishing practices. Overfishing without marine reserves is unsustainable, as is the use of FAD's (fish aggregation devices).
Tuna caught using purse seine nets set on FADs –result in the killing of hundreds of thousands of sharks, turtles, juvenile tuna and other marine species as bycatch, contributing to the oceans crisis.
We ask Australia to stop selling at-risk tuna species and creating marine reserves to protect precious marine life for future generations and restore the health of our oceans.
