A Shocking Amount of Animal Welfare Violations on Farms in the UK Get Overlooked. Demand Change!

Each farm animal deserves a life free from cruelty and neglect. Yet, a startling report revealed that across the UK, there is only one local authority inspector for every 878 farms. In 2022 and 2023, only a shocking 2.5% of farms were inspected, meaning that far too many cases of animal mistreatment are overlooked.

Sign the petition to demand the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and Northern Ireland's Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs create and implement a strict framework that will ensure all farms are safe!

Even when violations are found, they are seldom prosecuted. Out of the farms inspected, 22% failed to meet legal welfare standards, yet only 1% faced legal consequences. This lack of enforcement not only undermines animal welfare laws but also fails the very creatures these laws were created to protect.

We cannot allow this negligence to continue. We demand a comprehensive plan that increases inspection rates, ensures rigorous enforcement of welfare laws, and holds violators accountable.

Sign the petition to join us in calling for a strict regulatory framework that protects all farm animals from cruelty!
