Stop Marmoset Experiments at Harvard

  • by: Animal Advocates
  • recipient: Harvard Medical School, Harvard's New England Primate Research Center

Harvard is doing experiments on marmosets for the purpose of studying aging. These extremely cruel and completely unnecessary experiments can be studied ethically and effectively in human populations.

A recent death of a marmoset at Harvard's  New England Primate Research Center points to extreme negligence at the facility and to the inherent cruelty of this aging experiment. Additionally, Harvard has many Animal Welfare Act violations that resulted in injury and death of the animals in its primate center.

End the facility’s deadly and unnecessary marmoset experiments and retire the remaining marmosets to sanctuary.
