Care2 please support rescue mission in Pozega death camp!!!

Dear Care2!

We, the undersigned, ask you to create a "click to donate" button in your portal, from which funds will support activities related to saving dogs from Pozega torture kill pound in Serbia.

This death camp is killing street dogs illegally and systematically starving them to the point they can not hold their heads up and look like walking skeletons. It is well known that they are tortured by staff and then they are beaten and either strangled or clubbed to death or injected with T61 without prior sedation – as witnessed by former workers. In fact there are 17 criminal charges filed against this ‘shelter ironically called ‘Our Home’ – but the authorities still do nothing to stop them – the horror experienced by these innocent animals, must be stopped by any means.

- it is thought around 300-400 dogs are tortured & killed monthly
- even though it is illegal to kills street/stray dogs
- an estimated 7,000 dogs have died since they opened
- Local Authorities pay 100 euros per dog to the pound!
- it means they earn around 400.000 euros each year

We signed petitions to the authorities, we hope for the law to be enforced despite all the obstacles, but life and suffering can not wait for the bureaucratic procedures. Therefore, people with a big heart from all over the world need to unite to help, rescue, and adopt these animals. Costs to save them – release fees, high vetting costs due to so many dogs being sick from starvation or having butchered neuterings, new kennels needed for rescued dogs and food, are just too high without the aid of more people. Over 100 dogs have been saved but funds have run out – 60 dogs are still waiting for adoption and without funds they face having to go back to the streets. More dogs must be also saved from this terror and torture but funds are needed.
