My name is Adam Blackburn I’m 24 years old and the manager of Pearson’s based in Chorley town centre. I have been working here for 6 years. I started off quite a shy person and never had the confidence behind the bar, but over the years my confidence has soared and I finally feel content being here, we are all a family and always look after each other. I was offered assistant Manager when I was 20 then became Manager when my boss left and handed the pub down to me. He trained me over the years and taught me everything I know. I always make sure that things are done to the highest standard and done correctly. I was on probation for 3 months after taking over the pub and when that ended I was given the all clear that I was 100% keeping my place here. I started to make this a home for me. After a month went by after decorating and buying new furniture for my home I was then told I was being let go. I know I am young but I have put nothing but elbow grease into everything I do in this establishment and I always try to fulfill customers wishes, wether that be entertainment, bingo, food, offers,I go above and beyond and I have so many more ideas up my sleeve. I have a good friendship with our regulars and with our customers too and don’t want to let that go so easily. I have now been told I have 2 weeks till I need to leave my home. I just want a chance to show people i am more than capable. I have so much support from people around me and I’m just asking for a chance. I don’t want to leave and say I never fought for my dream job. I want my staff to keep there jobs and to keep my home so we can stay a team. I feel I’ve been treated wrongly after believing I can stay. I don’t feel I was given that chance to proof myself, I think everyone deserves one. Thankyou.
