Restoration of Parkway Gardens To More Livable Conditions

We are low income individuals living in Parkway Gardens Apartments in Chicago. We feel that we are being punished for the crime of being poor by the management and landlord delibrately neglecting much needed maintenance of our living quarters and surroundings. So we have made a collective decision to organize ourselves and take a stand to change our circumstances through this petition.
We, the undersigned, are concerned members of the public and the international community who urge the property manager/landlord to act now in restoring the living quarters and surroundings of Parkway Gardens apartments in Chicago to more livable and hospitable conditions. For years the tenants of this public housing facility have been subjected to some deplorable living conditions that include mold covered bathrooms, Cockroach infested apartments and entire 10 story, 32 unit buildings overtaken by Rats and Mice
Please, we urge the public to pay attention to this petition and to kindly and strongly consider signing it to help us come closer to achieving our goal. These are low income individuals who feel that they are being punished for being poor, but they have decided to finally take a stand and change their circumstances. We are thankful for anyone who signs this petition and anyone who reads it and we hope this will be effective in making a change in their lives and most especially the lives of their children.
