PLZ HELP GET "DEXTER" HOME TO HIS "MOM"! HE HAS SERVED HIS MILITARY TIME & SAVED HUNDRED'S OF OUR SOLDIER'S LIVE'S--HE DOESN'T DESERVE TO DIE FOR BEING A "HERO"!!
It has been estimated that Dexter saved anywhere from 800-1,000 lives in just one incident where he detected explosives.
Dexter is held in kennels, Naples, Italy. He was retired from active duty and then listed as 'excess' which means he can now be adopted. He has a loving home waiting for him in the USA. The powers that be are blocking his adoption by his ex-military handler, Kathleen Ellison of the USA. All legal military procedures have been followed to ensure a smooth adoption process - but the military is stalling! This dog could soon be dead!
Dexter has hip problems and seems to have been arbitary lablelled 'can be unpredictably aggressive'. Re-hab in the USA is awaiting this wonderul German Shephard who served his country well. He is now being tossed out like garbage. Dexter is depressed, and lonely. Treating animal war veterans in this manner is SHAMEFUL!

We the undersigned, wish to communicate our concern regarding the delayed adoption of Dexter, a military dog., held at the military kennels in Naples, Italy. His handler, Kathleen Ellison has followed all the legal procedures for adoption. The conflicting reports about the reasons for the delay is cause for concern. His hip problems can be helped with proper veterinary care. Your's and the attending veterinary surgeon's concern about his 'unpredictable aggressive behaviour' can also be addressed with therapy.
Dexter has a loving family waiting for him in the USA. We urge the American Military to treat animal war veterans with the same respect as you would do a human soldier. Dexter served his country, now it is the country's turn to serve Dexter.
Please do the right thing - send Dexter to the family that awaits him in the United States.
