Disney: Please Donate Some of the Proceeds from “Turning Red” to Help Real Red Pandas.

Red pandas are adorable. These red-faced, cute and cuddly Chinese mammals are omnivores, and they aren’t actually all that closely related to giant pandas.
Disney’s “Turning Red” follows the storyline of Mei Lee, a young girl facing puberty who has the quirk of turning into a giant red panda whenever she experiences any intense emotion. It has made Disney $13.4 million.
Hold it right there! There are only 10,000 real red pandas left in the world. As with most endangered animals, the reasons why these lovely, adorable animals are going extinct is all because of humans; habitat destruction and degradation, poaching and human interference. The real red pandas could really do with having some of that $13.4 million spent on helping them. Some of that money could go towards the rescue and conservation of these lovable animals.
Disney has donated some of the proceeds from their movies before; they put some of the money from their documentary “African Cats” towards conservation to help save the wild cats of Africa, and they also donated some of the proceeds from the remake of “The Lion King” towards conservation of the African Savannah. They could do the same with some of the money from “Turning Red”!
Disney, please help save red pandas, before it’s too late!
