For many years Crystal’s has been a public disturbance and nuisance for the surrounding residential neighborhoods. They have shown a pattern of unwillingness to abide by the city’s noise ordinance and have created an unsafe environment that has exposed the surrounding neighborhoods to excessive noise and criminal activity.

Crystal’s is open Friday and Saturday nights from 10:00pm to 4:30am and in the last 12 months as of 11/08/16, police have been called to the club over 30 times. These calls include activities as noise disturbances, assaults with a deadly weapon, drug possession, sexual assault and others.

I spoke with Officer Paul Benloss, our community coordinator, and he told me he had had a meeting with the property owner, the owner of the club, Pat Barker who is our Nuisance Abatement Officer and the fire marshal. Our petition is drawing the attention of the right people.
