Please release Diesel the dog into the care of a trainer. (QP4A volunteers to take him)

Diesel is a dog that is accused of biting another animal. The Regional District of Central Okanagan claims that the dog behaved aggressivley on several occations.  The onwner claims that neighborhood disputes were the cause of the allegations.  Either way the dog is not to blame.  He has been sentenced to death today and only has as much as 14 days to live.  Please help give him a shot at a second chance.  To read the entire court ruling and all the details of the case you can go to www.qp4a.com  The link is on our homepage.  There are several Facebook groups discussing both sides of this case.  Either way QP4A's only concern is for the dog.  He doesn't deserve to die for lack of training or neighborhood disputed whatever the case may be.

A petition of a few put Diesel here, a petition of many may get him out.

Diesel was sentenced to death based on the actions, or rather inactions, of allegedly irresponsible owner.  Dave Smith was officalially warned 10 times over the years, by the Regional District of Central Okanagan Dog Control that his dog was behaving aggressively.  Apparently every time the owner brushed it off and denied the dog was aggressive (accordingto court documants).  Dave Smith calims the dog is friendly, which is most likely true.  Diesel just lacked in proper training.  Dave Smith claims the allegations stemmed from neighborhood disputes.  Regardless of the reasoning for the allegations, Diesel does not deserve to die.  At least not without a chance at being properly trained.  Please release Diesel and give him a chance to redeem himself.

Issues with the RDCO Dog Control have been ongoing according to many people.  Lets take that into concideration when dogs are taken in by them until those issues can be addressed.

In all cases we believe that the responsibility should lie with the owner, not the dog.  Don't sentence dogs to death based on issues with the owner (whatever they may be).
