Petition for free anti- rabies vaccination and neutering for paws
As someone deeply concerned about the health of our community and its animal population, I've been alarmed by the increasing rate of rabies-related deaths. Rabies, a preventable disease, has claimed too many lives - both human and animal. The World Health Organization reports that rabies causes tens of thousands of deaths every year, mainly in Asia and Africa (WHO).
In addition to this public health crisis, there is an overpopulation issue with stray dogs and cats. Uncontrolled breeding leads to more animals susceptible to diseases like rabies. Spaying or neutering these animals can help control their population growth.
I am advocating for free anti-rabies vaccinations for stray dogs and cats in our community as well as a comprehensive spaying/neutering program. These measures will not only protect our communities from the threat of rabies but also manage the growing stray animal population.
This issue is personal to me because I believe every life matters - be it human or animal. By implementing these programs, we can save lives while creating a safer environment for everyone.
