Collisions with glass windows, walls, and other structures kill up to a billion birds a year in the U.S. alone – making this one of the greatest human-caused threats to bird populations.
Lawmakers have reintroduced the Bird-Safe Buildings Act, a bill that would help reduce these deaths by directing public buildings to incorporate bird-friendly design and materials.
The federal government, which oversees nearly 10,000 buildings in the U.S., can play a huge role in reducing glass collisions, potentially saving the lives of millions of birds.
Please ask your Representative and Senators to co-sponsor the Bird-Safe Buildings Act now!
