Most everyone loves the sweet and gentle deer and would be willing to help one that is in need or harm.  Such is the case with a young man in Victoria, Australia who rescued an orphaned deer in the area that he felt would face ultimate danger without his intervention.

The man felt helpful and hopeful in rescuing this adorable fawn but when officers from the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport, and Resources (DEDJTR) came to the door of the rescuer, they had other ideas on what should happen with this sweet animal who was now named Rudolph.  Their thought wa to take the deer and have it killed.  You can read the full story at http://www.onegreenplanet.org/news/help-needed-to-save-a-rescued-fawn/

One wonders, who would want to kill Rudolph, a young orphaned fawn and why?  This animal has not harmed anyone and deserved a better start in life.  The rescuer wanted to see the deer be saved but the DEDJTR proceeded to take the tiny young animal away despite its cries and those of the rescuing family.

Our hope in this petition is to encourage the DEDJTR to save Rudolph, do not kill or destroy it and ensure that it be placed in a safe reputable sanctuary such as the ones contacted by the rescuer.  The Jirrahlinga Koala and Wildlife Sanctuary is ready, willing and able to give Rudolph a good life for the remainder of his years.  Please help us in our efforts to save this young deer by signing and sharing this petition.  Rudolph deserves to live a happy, healthy life for his the rest of his years, and you can help by making your voice heard!

Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport, and Resources (DEDJTR) – We strongly urge you to save the life of the orphan deer known as Rudolph.  Please do not consider killing and destroying this sweet young animal but instead, we plead with you to save its life and relinquish it to a save and reputable sanctuary such as the Jirrahlinga Koala and Wildlife Sanctuary.
