A Demand for Communication:

A Petition to save the legacy of the name Guns N' Roses and the current respect for the new, Guns N' Roses.

We, the loyal Guns N' Roses fanbase, are deeply concerned for the band's respect from the general public and the extremely loyal fanbase. In 1999, the only official music the public heard from this incarnation of Guns N' Roses was released. Since then, we have not heard a single piece of official music. Almost all other artist's fanbases would have completely diminished by now: nearly eight years later. But we, the small but robust (mainly online) fanbase still remain. It is no secret, that since the calamity known as the 2002, "Chinese Democracy World Tour" ticket sales have suffered. We believe that this is due to a pure loss of faith in the name "Guns N' Roses" from the general public. Since there has been almost zero promotion about this album that we think is still called, "Chinese Democracy" the people outside of the GNR community, (which I stress is almost completely online) have a very limited education about this band and it's purpose. We believe that most of the disrespect from the general public comes from lack of identity. There is a very small portion of "fans" attending the current Guns N' Roses shows that think that they're still seeing some, if not all of the original band. We, the GNR Community, continuously find ourselves defending this band, because we know the attainable goal for this band, unlike the general public. We have perpetually accepted this kind of disrespect from Guns N' Roses and it's management for nearly six years, and we believe that this year the band's reputation might take a hit too hard to take. Most of us believed that we were going to be hearing an official album in 2002. We have forgiven for past mistakes and misleading comments made by people associated with Guns N' Roses, but this year may be different. This year, we had all the faith in the world and good reason too. We have been told by Guns N' Roses catalyst and lead vocalist, W. Axl Rose that the new album tentatively titled, "Chinese Democracy" would surface this year. This is the first time that he has stated a certain year. We realize that anything can happen when putting together something as big as this, so we are willing to forgive and forget, if those statements don't turn out to be correct. After all it is no secret that we are the most understandable fans in the world: the only fans in the world that would take this kind of neglectfulness. What we and the general public will not forgive and forget is, pure silence on behalf of Merck Mercuriadis or anybody that has knowledge and is able to speak about the current status of Guns N' Roses. Today is December 7th and there twenty four days left in 2006.  There are several loyal fans that have already stated they will lose some, if not all interest in the current incarnation of, "Guns N' Roses" if some sort of communication does not occur before the end of 2006. We want to prevent this by making everyone involved aware of the aftermath if nothing is said. We believe in the new Guns N' Roses and we believe in W. Axl Rose, please don't let us down.

We urge that any secrecy involving the status of, "Chinese Democracy" must be destroyed before 2007:
