No More Massacres: Tell Candidates to Take a Stand on Gun Control

On Friday, twelve people were killed and 49 more wounded at a midnight movie premiere in Aurora, Colorado. Armed with a legally attained assault rifle, shotgun, and two handguns, a man clad in black entered through one of the theatre's side exits and abruptly opened fire.

But this isn't the first tragedy of its kind. The American news cycle is saturated with similar acts of random, horrifying violence. Clearly, the current gun control laws in place are not working.

Until our government treats gun control as a life-or-death situation, no one can feel truly safe -- even while watching a superhero film.

It's time for President Obama and Mitt Romney to stop avoiding the issue. Stand against another tragedy: demand that the 2012 Presidential candidates present clear outlines on their plans to change gun control laws.
Dear 2012 Presidential Candidates,

The recent Aurora shooting has revealed, yet again, that gun control laws ought to be of primary concern.

As the future leader of our country, we demand to see clear plans outlining how you plan to change these laws and increase the safety of Americans.

Sincerely,
