Shell has a drilling rig on it's way to the Arctic that's already run aground in Alaska. And now, they've had to admit that its drilling vessels can't even meet basic EPA requirements for air quality.
This could be the last nail in the coffin for Shell's plans to drill in the Arctic. But Shell is asking the EPA for an exemption to the rules that would let it spew more than ten times the legal limit of air pollution while it drills. And unbelievably, the EPA is considering saying yes.
