Welwyn and Hatfield Council are proposing to build 700 houses on the land currently occupied by Panshanger Aerodrome.
The mixed density site will devalue the price of the existing homes in Panshanger. The site won't have the facilities to accommodate such large numbers, there will be no extra provision for schools, doctors or dentists. Traffic will increase into Welwyn and Hertford along the B1000 and the A414. The flora and fauna that thrive on the grassland at the moment will die out and the historic Panshanger Aerodrome will cease to exist.
We strongly urge you to sign the petition - if you can also register an online objection (there's a guide on our website www.savepanshanger.co.uk) that would be marvellous. Let them know how you feel about their plans.
