Don't Close the Zeta Alpha Chapter of Phi Mu

The National Council of Phi Mu Fraternity regrets to announce that the Zeta Alpha Chapter at Baker University will suspend operations effective May 22, 2011. Until that time, the chapter will continue to be a part of the Baker fraternity and sorority community. Chapter members and alumnae are thanked for their contributions to Zeta Alpha in the chapter's 95-year history.

The Ladies of the Zeta Alpha have unanimously decided to appeal this decision.

We, the undersigned, hereby petition the National Executive Council of Phi Mu Fraternity to overturn the decision to close the Zeta Alpha Chapter of Phi Mu on May 22, 2011.

The chapter has been a vital part of the Baker University  campus and Baldwin City community for over 95 years.  Closing the Zeta Alpha chapter of Phi Mu would not only negatively affect the Ladies of the Zeta Alpha Chapter, both past and present, but the Baker University community as a whole.

I personally support the Zeta Alpha chapter of Phi Mu and their appeal to suspend operations at the end of the 2010-2011 academic year.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
