Child labour and slavery are huge crimes against humanity. The fact that Hershey's not revealing where it gets its cocoa reinforces the idea that its cocoa is from suppliers that use child labour and slavery. Hershey's has stated that they will not "reveal their cocoa sources until the 2020s when they have switched to 100% certified cocoa suppliers." That's basically saying that they won't reveal if they use child labour and slavery UNTIL they stop using child labour and slavery. By signing this petition, you will bring us one step closer to revealing the truth behind Hershey's cocoa suppliers.
Dear Hershey's Company,
In response to a lawsuit in 2012 demanding your company to reveal its cocoa sources, your company refused to reveal the truth until 2020, saying that, "by 2020, we expect to source 100% certified cocoa..." After hearing this, people had the right to believe your company was hiding something and responded with the Raise the Bar movement. Your company promised that every two years, one out of your five top selling chocolate bars would be 100% sourced to certified cocoa, but your company still avoided the purpose of the whole movement. We are asking your company to please admit what your company has done and reveal your cocoa sources. This is a question of morals, ethics and company integrity.
