Thank Chevron for Cancelling Plans to Drill in the Great Australian Bight

Chevron has abandoned its plans to drill for oil in the Great Australian Bight. Drilling for oil is just too risky in the deep, wild waters of the Great Australian Bight - with the potential to devastate the region’s marine life, local communities, and fishing and tourism businesses.

Ultimately, human civilization needs to get all of its energy from renewable sources. For now, though, we thank Chevron for deciding to leave a fragile ecosystem alone.
