It makes no sense, then, for four Caribbean nations -- St. Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and St. Lucia – to consistently vote against protecting whales at the annual International Whaling Commission meeting. In fact, they are selling out whales in return for financial support from Japan—which is both shameful and short-sighted.
