Nextdoor.com claims to support animal welfare, not animal rights. Their guidelines force neighbors to post about rehoming pets in the Finds section along with used furniture. Pets provide us with so much love and emotional support, how could anyone ethically list them alongside used furniture? It's demeaning and needs to STOP. Pets are family members, sentient beings, and deserve to have the honor, dignity and respect of being posted in the general section to reach a larger audience that can help find them the best homes. Encourage local and global communities to show kindness and respect for the species in which we share a planet. Help STOP this systemic abuse and allow community members to volunteer in the general section to help animals and neighbors in every neighborhood be respected and supported by the general public. People can complain about neighbors, bash businesses and engage in so much drama in the general section, why can't we do something good here together like rescuing animals and finding them great homes? Wouldn't that be inspiring as you scroll through general news? Join us to make a difference to our communities. Rescue is a community effort and this valuable community service inspires and benefits us all.
