Hollywood is making a new Film called "Beirut"directed by Brad Anderson. The film stars Dean Norris, Larry Pine and Shea Whigham.The film will have its world premiere at Sundance on Monday, January 22. This film is supposed to be about the Lebanese Civil War but it does not represent Lebanon, does not have any Lebanese actors, uses non-Lebanese Accents, music, and culture. This over simplification of The Middle East needs to end. Hollywood is re-writing history and is exploiting Lebanon's past without any Lebanese insight. This movie is a threat to the Lebanese heritage, culture, and ethnicity.please tweet #BanBeirut We are calling for a complete ban of the movie ob the grounds of cultural defamation.
