Demand Facebook Quit Allowing Depictions of Animal Abuse and Torture!

More and more often, depictions of animal abuse and torture are posted to Facebook by people seeking their "15 minutes of fame". Because of the notoriety they receive, others are encouraged to commit horrendous acts of cruelty. Despite Facebook's contention that "We prohibit the use of Facebook to facilitate or organize criminal activity that causes physical harm to people, businesses or animals, or financial damage to people or businesses. We work with law enforcement when we believe there is a genuine risk of physical harm or direct threats to public safety. We also prohibit you from celebrating any crimes you’ve committed", these posts are permitted to remain in public view. Animal abuse is a crime and should be blocked from Facebook as well as brought to the attention of the proper authorities! Tell Mr. Zuckerberg to quit giving animal abusers a forum in which to celebrate these atrocious acts against animals!
Dear Mr. Zuckerberg:
Recently, there have been numerous Facebook postings depicting the torture and abuse of animals. Your posting guidelines clearly state illegal acts posted to Facebook will be removed and the proper autorities contacted. Yet, you continually allow these actions to be displayed. It is time for you to do what is right and quit allowing these horrendous acts to be posted! I understand moderating the massive amount of content on a website such as your is a burdensome job; however, as the CEO, you have the obligation to remove illegal content from this site. If your company cannot moderate efficiently, contract with another company to perform this for you. Animal cruely cannot be condoned and your failure to report these acts is the same as condoning them! Do the right thing!
