Traditionally, the Democratic and Republican parties wait until the election year to begin their primary processes. But Donald Trump has shown us the consequences of exploiting every loophole and shortcut to reshape the political landscape to his advantage. We can no longer afford to wait.
The challenges we face demand bold, immediate action. Starting the nomination process now will do more than energize our base—it will create a unified, alternative narrative that both independent and legacy media cannot ignore. It ensures our party's leaders remain visible and active during a time when political figures are prone to fade from public view.
We cannot wait until 2028 to address policies that are harming our communities today. We must identify and elevate our next Democratic leader now, and every candidate for DNC Chair must commit to this urgent task.
This is why we demand a pledge:
"I, the undersigned, commit to initiating the Democratic presidential primary process on my first day as DNC Chair. Candidates will have 90 days to organize and decide and campaign for the following 90 days, after which a single national primary will be held."
This gives all potential candidates 3 months to decide, 3 months to campaign AND will hold one NATIONAL primary, 90 days later - we all hate the Electoral College, why not LEAD by example?
If Trump can dismantle our government in five days, and we can't elect our Nominee in 180 days, what hope do we have?
