DEMAND THE UK GOVERNMENT OFFER AID TO #AUSTRALIANFIRES

Australia is experiencing bushfires on an unprecedented scale.

The Climate Council, suggests bushfire conditions are now more dangerous than they were in the past, with longer bushfire seasons, drought, drier fuels and soils and record-breaking heat. The link between bushfires and climate change has become a political football, but experts agree climate change explains the unprecedented nature of the current crisis.

Since September, Australia has lost half a billion species and 14.8million hectares of land and counting. Numbers never ever seen in its history.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has stayed completely silent during this period. The UK is a close ally to Australia. The UK public have dug deep and raised millions of pounds in crowdfunding, but it's time for the Government to do the same. This petition calls on the UK Government to authorise administering aid to Australia to help the Australian Government tackle this national emergency.
