Save 500,000 Animals! Stop the Gadhimai Festival Animal Sacrifice!

Every five years, The Gadhimai animal sacrifice festival takes place in Nepal, beginning Nov. 28, 2014. 500,000 animals; buffalos, goats, sheep and birds will be brutally slaughtered to offer sacrifice to the goddess Gadhimai.The death struggle for many animals lasts minutes. Despite the outcry to prevent it, the Nepal government spent $4.5 million on this slaughter in 2009. Please help me stop this suffering and senseless killing of thousands of animals by signing this petition. There is still enough time to stop it this year. Thank you.
