An 11-year-old girl from Chile is 14 weeks pregnant with a fetus that will most likely not survive. Her pregnancy is dangerous to her health. But she is still being forced to continue the pregnancy.
In Chile, abortion is illegal in ALL cases, even for rape victims whose lives are at risk. This young girl got pregnant from rape by her mother's boyfriend, who had been sexually assaulting her for 2 years. To the Chilean government, though, that doesn't seem to matter.
If Chile's leaders really cared about the lives of their people, they wouldn't be leaving an 11-year-old rape victim to suffer. Tell Chile to grant this child the abortion she needs and loosen its deadly laws so that this never happens again!
Dear Chile Government,
Right now an 11-year-old girl that is pregnant because of rape might have to continue a pregnancy that is arguably life-threatening. The fetus will most likely not survive either. Unfortunately, Chile's abortion policy makes abortion impossible under any circumstances.
It is time to reconsider this policy and make sure that not only does this girl not lose her life, but that this never happens again. Real change needs to happen and legal abortion policies need to be created.
