Raising of the Minimum Wage in the United States

Minimum wage was last raised in 2009, and since then the cost of living has skyrocketed. In previous years the minimum wage would be raised to accommodate the cost of living, but this has been ignored for far too long. Over 250,000 people make the minimum wage. Thousands of families are virtually living in poverty due to the governments lack of care to raise the minimum wage. Sign the petition so that people care make a livable wage, and so that they can afford to live without having to worry about not eating or about not having a place to live! I propose that the minimum wage should be set to 14$ an hour. Sign the petition and share to your family and friends so we can change this law.
