Puppy Mills are unlicensed and not regulated in the province of Ontario , often the dogs are kept in inhumane conditions, The mills are operated purely for profit , clients often are sold puppies that are in poor health, the breeding stock, mothers and fathers are disposed off when they are no longer productive, recently breeders where rescued at a livestock auction, A veterinarian has been identified who works with these puppy mill operators. Non profit rescue groups staffed by volunteers and funded by donors have been taking the breeders and puppies the millers are unable to sell . Branches of the Ontario Government are aware of this and continue to allow operations to continue. Ideally should W5 take an interest and air a segment on this dirty little industry the government will be forced to take action.
