Arkansans United Against Puppy Mills

Over 3 MILLION happy and healthy young dogs are killed every year in our nation simply because they are unwanted. Puppy Mills, and the atrocious ways that some are run, only add to the problem of over population.
Fees due to the State should be .hefty if you run a puppy mill, or simply breed pups because you don't take the time to spay or neuter your pets.
The fees collected from the state would go to educate and facilitate inspectors in the field for animal shelters, who themselves would have to follow new laws and procedures. In addition, an Inspector General will oversee and take calls for emergency situations. At present, Arkansas has no one to call but the County Sheriff who usually is too tied up with his people work. We must bring Arkansas out of the shadow of animal cruelty. We are now sending our unwanted dogs up north where they find happy, healthy homes.
