Justice for Baylee & Miss Terrier - Please help raise awareness of horrific sexual animal abuse

  • von: Tracy Opra T.A.P. Together Against Predators
  • empfänger: Every person who wants Justice for Baylee and Miss Terrier and that supports a law that bestiality will become a felony in every state with the maximum sentence for animal abuse.

August 18, 2013

Baylee and Miss Terrier have suffered horrific sexual abuse by 52 year old James Lee Lyons. He is a convicted sexual predator who was released in June 2011 after serving more than 13 years in prison. In July, Lyons, a St. Johns County sexual predator was arrested for the sexual abuse to Baylee and then re-arrested for the second time in a week on additional charges of cruelty to animals, sexual activities involving animals in the horrific abuse of Miss Terrier and failure to register as a sexual predator. : https://www.facebook.com/notes/st-johns-county-sheriffs-office/sexual-predator-arrested-on-additional-charges/704737469543836

Then, State Sen. Nan Rich, sponsored and finally become law on June 18, 2011 Florida Bestiality Bill (SB344) which bans sexual activity between human and animals and is punishable by a first degree misdemeanor. According to FS 775.082 the term of imprisonment cannot exceed one year and FS 775.083 only has a fine of up to $1,000.

We appreciate all that Sen. Nan Rich did to get this bill passed banning sexual contact with animals, as it took her 3 times because the Florida legislature thought they were wasting their time as it never happens. It does happen, all over, you just don't hear about it! Just look at the case involving Justice for Janey, a pit bull who was victimized by Eugene Hickman. Research Randol Mitchell and Alan Yoder and you will see that these cases need stricter laws to bring justice to these helpless animals.

We must come together and let our voices be heard that this law must be changed to a felony and judges must issue mandatory jail sentences for these violent offenders.

James Lee Lyons will be in court on…..September 12, 2013 at 1:30 pm, Presiding Judge J. Michael Traynor court room 316, at 4010 Lewis Speedway, St. Augustine, FL 32084, for a hearing on these crimes.
