Chinese Aquariums are the biggest buyers of cetaceans from the Taiji drive hunt. The dolphin drive hunts in Taiji do not just end in the killing of the dolphins. Taiji is “ground zero” for international trade in live dolphins. There is money – big money – in the captive dolphin entertainment industry. Without the money the Fishermans Union makes from the live trade business, it is doubtful that the Taiji Fishermans Union would be able to sustain the killing of dolphins. The dolphin entertainment industry drives the hunt. The killing of the dolphins follows in its wake.
It is now illegal in many countries to import a dolphin which has been caught in the wild, India went as far as to recognise dolphins non human rights and banned all captive facilities totally, such is the dolphins intelligence, family bonding and being, and I ask you to join in urging China to be the same.

The Japanese say that the drive hunt is humane, but as you can see from the video link below, this is far from the truth, and people across the world are tirelessly trying to raise awareness, stop their market and protect these beautiful creatures from such cruelty.
