Tell Missouri's Leaders: Support The State's Largest Clean Energy Project

When America invested in infrastructure, we created good jobs and laid the foundation for a strong future. Now, in Missouri, we have a major opportunity to modernize the grid by bringing low-cost renewable energy to the state for decades to come.

The Grain Belt Express Clean Line is a proposed transmission line that will deliver clean, renewable wind energy from southwestern Kansas into Missouri. The low-cost power delivered by the project will save Missourians more than $10 million a year on their energy costs. The benefits of the Grain Belt Express Clean Line are clear:

• Building the project will support more than 1,500 jobs in Missouri
• The project is a $500 million project that will save Missourians $10 million a year on energy costs
• Landowners along the line will receive more than $32 million for hosting the line
• The project will contribute more than $7 million in property taxes to local schools and communities in the first year of operation alone
• Secures stable electric rates for people living on low or fixed incomes. 

The Grain Belt Express Clean Line is a pro-jobs, pro-environment, pro-consumer project supported by a broad coalition including labor unions, Missouri Chamber of Commerce, AARP, and other environmental organizations. But the project needs approval from the Missouri Public Service Commission (PSC) to move forward. And the PSC needs to hear from more Missourians.
