Help fisherman and our Rivers By selling asian carp in cat food

We the undersigned believe that a cheap and overly available source of cat food is arising. The asian carp is an extremely invasive fish destroying our river's ecosystems from the bottom up and extracting omega 3 and animal feed may may be the solution. Secondly the price of carp is essentially non existent and carp is plentiful. Also the nutrition value of carp is surprisingly high and can be used to manufacture the omega 3 oil. First to be explained is why we need to create a demand for the Asian Carp. The Asian Carp, obviously, is from Asia and not naturally a part of American ecosystems. Not only this , but it is not a non native that does essentially no harm, but literally eats away the base of the food chain. I shall explain. As we have all learned in school, plankton are the base of most freshwater ecosystems. Despite popular theory, carp are not bottom feeders, but filter feeders. What they do is they deprive the river of plankton. Deprived of the plankton, the next link is skinnier and lesser in numbers than before. This trend continues and when we finally reach the top of the food chain their is hardly any food for them. To give you a visual, essentially what the carp is doing is akin to blowing out the first floor of a skyscraper, for the rest of the floors fall as well.  It is also important to know that the energy that sustains a freshwater ecosystem does not just stay in the water. An example of this is a Blue Heron fishing in the water. By removing that fish from the water the heron has successfully put that energy into the above water part of the ecosystem {although it may well make it's way back to the water by it's doppings. In this way a fisherman is similar to a blue heron. The fisherman, like the blue heron, relies on the bounty of fish. And if the ecosystem falls and is not able to sustain enough fish then neither the fisherman nor the heron will be able to support themselves nor their family.  But their is a solution for both the heron and the fisherman, if on a large enough scale. The solution is this, remove the asian carp, which undermines the system. The heron and the man are both being harmed by the same problem, and both can be helped by the same solution. The fisherman, and hopefully your corporation, are the solution. We need to aggressively fish the asian carp. The fisherman will have money and the heron will have more food.  I believe that the asian carp may be easier to fish than the tuna. I have created a design for a fishing boat that could, potentially capture massive amounts of asian carp. I am not able to show you this design, or even depict it for you in this letter, but I shall explain it the best I can. First, as you may know the asian carp literally jumps up to ten feet out of the water at the sound of a motor. For this reason, of course, we would keep the motor on. There would be a large net similar to a tuna fishing net, with one large difference. First it would go a about six feet in the air, resembling a sail in that sense, and it would go four feet under water because that is where most of the plankton are and therefore the carp. Obviously it would have to go at a reasonable pace in order to catch the fish and so that they would stay caught once they had been caught. Now we need to discuss the commercial value and the potential commercial value of carp. Carp, as we have learned and discussed, is very abundant with essentially no demand. According to the rule of supply and demand that means that carp is extremely cheap. Unfortunatly, without any demand for carp, it is almost unavailable. But demand is actually growing, and factories for processing carp to create animal feed and omega 3 do exist and more are being built. This is a chance for you to take a chunk of the carp industry while it is emerging. Omega 3 is a very hot item these days because it is thought to reduce the chance of a heart attack and various other benefits. As it turns out asian carp contains lots of omega 3 and it is commercial quality oil. Also for the omega 3 supplements and the animal feed, there is potential for tapping into the growing green market. We have all heard of the new fad for sustainable foods and organic foods. These products are so popular for two reasons. The first is that people think that it is better for them to eat organic foods. The second and more important reason is that it makes them feel good about themselves. The consumers feel good because they feel they are taking care of themselves as well as being environmentally sound. On all of your products containing asian carp you will be able to tell them that they are buying an environmentally sustainable food and that they are helping eradicate the asian carp. All in all, the american freshwater ecsystems are in chaos because of this fish. The asian carp has just entered the great lakes and is continuing to spread. We need to eradicate it. Also the price for Asian carp is basically non-existant but the demand is going up. And more importantly carp is a major source of animal feed and omega 3.
