We the undersigned believe in the sanctity of all life, no matter what forms it takes. Every living being deserves to be treated with respect. Therefore, we strongly oppose the Chinese fur industry and its cruel, inhumane practices.
It's bad enough that animals are farmed/hunted for their fur; it's tragic that many animals in the Chinese fur industry are killed in brutal ways. Animals are often skinned alive and left to die a slow, agonizing death.
Additionally, many consumers are unaware that the Chinese fur industry kills animals that people see as companion animals, such as dogs and cats. Certainly if more people realized what was happening in China, a boycott would ensue.
China seeks to be a leader in the world. What better way to show the world its leadership than for China to reform its fur industry and recognize that all life is precious.
