Each month is estimated that about 600 companion animals are stranded, abused or killed by irresponsible people. In Ecuador so far there is no national legislation that protects the rights of pets and punish offenders, to create a society of equality and respect between animals and people, help by signing this petition to the assembly work for the elaboration of laws that ensure the well-being of those who have no voice, only we can help.
Some local councils have established ordinances on protection of animals but there are still thousands of animals abandon, living in unsanitary conditions, hungry and in tight spaces, with people who are not aware of the abuse that cause, authorities must penalize these actions to prevent this from continuing.

Se calcula que alrededor de 500 mil animales son abandonados al año en el país, mientras otros cientos de animales son maltratados intencionalmente. La presente petición es para solicitarle se retomen los debates sobre la ley de protección animal, involucrando tanto animales silvestres como de compañía, para la elaboración de artículos que permita el control de su población, identificación de animales domésticos y protección de sus derechos que garanticen para los animales una vida digna, así mismo esta petición es para pedirle que se elaboren artículos con sanciones más fuertes para las personas que intencionalmente ocasionen daños a animales; Para promover sociedad de respeto e igualdad entre personas y animales.
