If OSU Veterinarian is Found Guilty, Levy Maximum Charges Against the University

An animal rights group has some major concerns regarding veterinary practices at the Oklahoma State University. Complaints were filed after a federal report outlined several violations of veterinary standards as part of the university's training program.

Due to their concerns, a letter was written to the USDA urging the group Stop Animal Exploitation Now asked the agency to take the "most severe action allowable" under federal law against OSU. Some of the violations cited on the Oklahoma City campus included the alleged death of a rabbit during a surgery, the performance of unapproved animal surgeries and surgical procedures performed on unhealthy animals.

Currently, the OSU – OKC is cooperating in this investigation and disciplinary actions will be taken if the allegations prove to be true. We are asking for your help by signing and sharing this petition in an effort to find out the truth and provide appropriate results for the well-being of any animals involved.

Michael Budkie of USDA – We are urging you to do a full investigation into the practices of care of animals at OSU – OKC and ensure appropriate actions are taken for the betterment of the animals involved. We are asking for you to levy the maximum penalty possible against the university if it is proven that their actions violated veterinarian and anti-cruelty practices.
