Tell the Biden administration to take legal action to protect the abortion rights of Oklahomans!

On April 12th, Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt signed one of the nation's most restrictive anti-abortion bills into law, a near-total ban on abortion healthcare with a slim exception for preserving the life of the pregnant person.

This bill is a catastrophe for the four remaining abortion clinics in Oklahoma, which are already flooded with patients fleeing a similarly draconian bill in Texas. Now, those seeking abortion healthcare must travel even further — and with copycat bills being passed across red states everywhere, their options are rapidly dwindling.

Coming on the heels of a slew of anti-LGBTQ+ bills, it's clear that the far-right extremism in Oklahoma is only going to get worse unless the federal government sends a clear message that this is beyond the pale.

The Oklahoma abortion bill flies in the face of Roe v. Wade, which has been the established law of the land for decades. Republicans cannot be allowed to simply rewrite constitutional rights based on their own radical ideologies whenever they feel like it.
