Stop Being a Jerk to Homeless People, Rep. Brower

Tom Brower has taken it upon himself to smash shopping carts that homeless people use to move their limited number of possessions with a sledgehammer. He also shows no remorse for calling homeless people "disgusting" or yelling at sleeping homeless people to "move your ass!"

Calling homeless people names and destroying their carts does nothing to end homelessness. Given that Rep. Brower is a legislator, it would seem that he is in a unique to create real reform for his state's homeless population. Rather than making homeless people's lives even more difficult, we suggest working to implement new programs that could assist the population find food, shelter, and jobs, thereby getting them off the streets.

As an elected official, Representative Brower has an obligation to look after all of his constitutents - even those who are experiencing massive hardships.
