Demand An End To Cruel And Illegal Whaling In Indonesia

The natives of the town of Lamerla in Indonesia undoubtedly rely on the sea to survive. However, their slaughter of dozens of sperm and pilot whales is no longer about survival. Instead of rowboats, speed boats have been introduced, and reports have shown that wealthy Japanese buyers are coming to Indonesia to buy whale meat as their country is reducing its whaling quotas. Also, Chinese buyers are coming for the manta ray and shark fins. This cruel slaughter puts the Savu Sea ecosystem at risk. Tell Indonesia that this must end now!

Unfortunately, it has happened. An orca family was slaughtered. These happy, wild individuals have had their lives brutally taken for money and blood sport. Please continue to share this very important petition.
