Words of Life

Words of life.... how can just one quote, just one phrase hold so much meaning? It can't. All words combined, all quotes, all deep sayings... their all the words of life. Some people don't have that feeling... they can't explain life in a phrase or a quote, but some people do. Jane Goodall, John Muir, Sylvia A. Earle, Robert Swan.. they know the feeling. I love all of their words and quotes... they aren't just deep, they have feeling of life, the true meaning of what life is and how important it is to every single being. One of my favorite quotes from Jane Goodall really touches my heart and I can't help but nod, agreeing with her. ''Arguably, we are the most intellectual creatures that's ever walked on planet Earth. So how come,then, that this so intellectual being is destroying it's only home?''-Jane Goodall. "You can not get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make"-Jane Goodall. ''An animal is not an "it" or a "what", an animal is a HE or a SHE or a WHO"-Jane Goodall. "If we kill of the wild, then we are a killing a part of our soul"-Jane Goodall. ''The sun shines not on us, but in us"-John Muir. ''THE GREATEST THREAT TO OUR PLANET IS THE BELIEF THAT SOMEONE ELSE WITH SAVE IT''-Robert Swan. Those quotes are only a few of a million, but if you really think about it... no words can hold the meaning of life, no phrase can explain how you feel the Earth's power. The only way to know, is to see, listen, taste... feel. You have to love something, before you can understand it. You have to feel something, before you can care about it. Like Robert Swan said, the greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else with save it. Now, that's not saying that you alone, me alone, can save our planet from destruction and the wave of greed and deterioration... no, it's saying that you have to try yourself before building your force. I can't save the planet, no one knows if anyone ever will be able to, it's not just us humans that's causing our planet to slowly but surely crumble. Mother Nature herself, the planet is caving in on itself. Billions of people can't hold that weight, nothing can. But Earth isn't going to crumble any time soon, more like 200-450 years. Us humans have time, but... not all the life that shares the air we breathe, the water we drink and swim in do. Animals are beings that have feelings, they have minds and they grieve, and they feel just as much as us, even more. The life, the oceans, the rivers, lakes,ponds, puddles, stones, boulders,pebbles,sand,dirt,plants,trees,flowers,animals....they are beings and they live on this planet just as much as we do. It seems kind of stupid, doesn't it? Pebbles? Rocks! Their not alive, their just "things". That's not true. They may not breathe, but the dirt, the sand, the pebbles, the rocks... it's the ground under our feet, they provide us with a foothold in life. They share this Earth with us, they aren't alive, their not people, but their beings... their there. A wave is slowly rolling around our planet, starting at the roots of greed and deterioration and destruction. The only people, the only beings that can stop it is us.Us humans, us people. More specifically, the people that are the roar in the wave. The factories, the greed.... the people there can do something! I know it sounds really harsh and everyone has their own beliefs, but anyone and everyone reading this must understand that we can't live life like we are any longer! There won't be life. There are alternatives, healthier ways of working factories, driving and transportation, eating, doing what you do every day. Solar energy, put solar panels on the top of your business, your building your factory! It's so much healthier and the power isn't any different. I think that it's even stronger, because your using nature and nothing's stronger than Mother Nature, life itself. Or wind power, humongous wind mills are extremely healthy and efficient energy sources! LED lightbulbs are much healthier and the light shines even brighter. Electric cars.... their amazing. Yes, their worked differently and it takes some time to get used to, but their efficient, healthy and guess what? While your in Fredmeyers or Target, you can charge your car! You don't have to wait in line at a gas station, and you can do it wherever you go. I live In Oregon and in Portland, I see tons of electric cars! It's great, because that's less Co2 emissions from them When I turn 15, I am getting an electric car. I don't care where I have to go, how much I have to pay.... I'm not hurting our planet for convience. I am a vegetarian and it isn't that hard! I just started with one week, that's it, no meat at all. It was hard at first, I would want a hamburger at Wendy's or the special steak my Uncle makes. That first day, my mom gave me a hamburger. I said I was a vegetarian and she told me it was insane and that I had to eat meat or else my body would get sick. So.... I ate that hamburger and she gave me one every night for 2 weeks. Finally... she asked me if I tasted anything different from Wendy's or McDonalds, I told her no. She then told me that hamburger was made of carrots, beans, esparagus, chia seeds and other veggies. I wasn't eating meat, she didn't think it was insane at all. I couldn't taste anything different, I swear. Then... I just got in the habit of not eating meat and substituting it for veggies and beans and eggs and nuts! I got my protein and that amazing flavor, all the same except one ingredient was left out. Guilt. There are so many things you can do and they aren't that hard, so much more efficient and healthy. The words of life are no words at all, but all words combined. You can't say the words, you can't read life in a magazine... all you can do is feel it. Once you feel it, you can love it and once you love it? You can care. Once you care, you can make difference and once you make a difference... your one step closer to saving our planet from human beings themselves.
